The Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Jasna Gora is the most visited Polish Marian shrine and one of the most important places of Marian devotion in the world. The image of Our Lady of Czestochowa located here, which is considered miraculous, attracts millions of pilgrims every year.
Most of the current buildings date back to the 17th century and represent the Baroque style. The must-see points of the sanctuary are the basilica and the chapel of the Miraculous Image, St. Anthony's Chapel, the tower, the refectory, the Knights' Hall, the Chapel of the Memory of the Nation, and the Museum of the 600th Anniversary of Jasna Gora. Above the sacristy is the famous Jasna Gora Treasury, which houses valuable supplication and thanksgiving votive offerings. In 1994, the sanctuary was declared a historical monument.
